Kay Jasso is a nonprofit professional, who has over 10 years of experience specializing in relationship building, marketing, grant writing, and board governance. Kay began her nonprofit career at the Collier County Community Foundation where she held the position of Program Manager. She worked closely with the local nonprofit organizations and with the grant committee. During her tenure at the Community Foundation, Kay had the opportunity to provide numerous consultations to nonprofit organizations in the area of grant writing and grant research, and about how to establish a nonprofit organization.
After six years, Kay moved on to Healthy Start of Southwest Florida where she served as Operations Manager. In that role, she wore many different “hats” ranging from event management to grant writing. Kay was most recently on staff at Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida as a grant writer. There, Kay’s role was to provide grant research, grant writing, program budget preparation, and to help develop community collaborations.
Kay also has a long history of volunteerism. She has served on several local nonprofit boards, including President of Music for Minors, Secretary of the Gulf Coast Society of Fundraising Professionals, and Secretary of Miracle Limbs Courage in Motion. She also served as a panel member for four years on the Collier County Foster Care Review Board.
Before coming to Florida in 2002, Kay was a successful professional in the consumer products industry in Chicago. Kay held management positions at the Quaker Oats Company and at Unilever/ Best Foods. She is married to husband Alberto, and together they have three children.
